What’s up everybody?! My name is Larry Ryan Schmidt – you may also know me as Wheelz the rapper. At the age of 4 years old I was diagnosed with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. At the time I had no clue what was happening to my body.
Three years later I was confined to a power wheelchair. Ten years after that I started to write and record my own hip hop music. Now, I rap to raise awareness for Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy in the hopes that one day we can find a cure for this fatal disease. | Read Ryan’s full story >
